Guide to project purchases
When you are thinking about building a new home or buying a project, it is important to get advice, and to get the best advice, involve your buyer’s advisor as early as possible.
Building contracts are often written from the builder’s point of view. Construction companies often use standard contracts, and the real estate agent or construction advisor may tell you they are fine. A second opinion is worth having. The terms of the purchase agreement contain important information about paying all or part of the purchase price before the keys are handed over, and it is my job to make sure you are not left in a difficult position with the construction company.
That is why you should contact me before you sign the purchase agreement. Once you have signed, the terms are much harder to change.
When you buy a project, there are many aspects that the real estate agent or construction advisor may only inform you about, not advise you on. When I go through the project documents and the purchase agreement with you, I explain the legal consequences. It is important to me that your purchase of a new build or project is as secure as possible.
